How to make a Liquid Heroin

A Liquid Heroin shot is:
1 part Jagermeister
1 part Rumple Minze
1 part Bacardi 151
And there are many other variations…

When we search for the drink Liquid Heroin on the internet, we find a lot of different recipes. It seems that people like the drink, but don’t know exactly how to make it. When they try, they end up making a completely new version. We wonder how many bars in the world serve a different version of this drink.

The cleanest version of this shot is easy to make. It is

1 part Jagermeister
1 part Rumple Minze

This shot is also known as a “Screaming Nazi”, and it includes the basic ingredients to most of the variations of a Liquid Heroin. These ingredients are often poured in a shaker with ice, shaken and served as a shot.

As we mentioned, there are a lot a variations of this drink. Another version is where the Rumple Minze is substitute for another kind of Peppermint Schnapps.

1 part Jagermeister
1 part Peppermint Schnapps

This is basically the same recipe as before except that instead of using Rumple Minze another brand of Peppermint Schnapps is used. A lot of companies make Peppermint Schnapps, so if you can’t get your hands on Rumple Minze any Peppermint Schnapps should do just fine.

Can you say three-way?

The next three variations include both Jager and Rumple Minze with the addition of another type of liquor. The following shot is probably the most popular version of this drink.

1 part Jagermeister
1 part Rumple Minze
1 part Bacardi 151 (or Everclear)

The addition of Bacardi 151 makes this drink significantly stronger that the first Liquid Heroin recipe we describe above. This version of the drink has its own variations too. Many places suggest that you substitute the Bacardi 151 (151 proof) for Everclear (either 151 or 190 proof) which could make this drink ever stronger.

It’s important to note that 190 proof Everclear is illegal and not available for sale in many states, provinces and municipalities. Interestingly if you want to buy 190 proof Everclear in the state of Pennsylvania, you must first obtain a license to do so.

1 part Jagermeister
1 part Rumple Minze
1 part Vodka

Another popular version of Liquid Herion incorporates vodka with Jager and Rumple Minze. Unlike Bacardi 151, vodka is a staple of every bar, so you should be able to order this version anywhere.

1 part Jagermeister
1 part Rumple Minze
1 part Goldschlager

The addition of Goldschlager to Jager and Rumple Minze is only natural (or is it?). This variation is popular in and around New York City. Goldschlager is weaker than both 151 and most Vodkas, so this shot is weaker than the two mentioned above. Of course it still packs a pretty tough punch that could easily knock you on your ass.

Liquid Heroin or Liquid Cocaine?

The next two versions of this shot are often found on menus as either Liquid Heroin or Liquid Cocaine.

1 part Jagermeister
1 part Goldschlager

1 part Jagermeister
1 part Goldschlager
1 part Bacardi 151

We have seen both of the above drinks listed as Liquid Heroin on menus at bars. We usually refer to these shots as Liquid Cocaine, but it’s not worth arguing over. If this is your version of a Liquid Heroin, we’ll roll with it.

Let’s throw a lot of liquors together!

1 part Jagermeister
1 part Rumple Minze
1 part Goldschlager
1 part Bacardi 151

All of these liquors have been used in Liquid Heroin drinks described above, and in this version they are all mixed together! Yum!

Where did this one come from?

1 part Vodka
1 part Parfait Amour

I’m not sure who created this version, but you if you look for it you can find it. It’s unique, unlike any of the recipes we’ve already listed. We were unable to find another name for this drink, so we’ll call it another type of Liquid Heroin.

Liquid Heroin Cocktail Recipes

Most people think of Liquid Heroin as a shot, but in some parts of the world it’s also the name of a cocktail. Below are the two variations of drink that we were able to find.

1 part Tequila
1 part Gin
1 part White Rum
1 part Blue Curacao
Topped off with Red Bull
